Position and reconstruct
Camera-based positioning on a mapped indoor track, with an interactive 3D trajectory and multiple viewing perspectives.
Computer vision for karting
GPS-free kart positioning and race analysis, beginning with a working indoor prototype.

Indoor tracks are where many drivers learn, but satellite positioning is often unavailable or unreliable. A stopwatch records the result without explaining the lap.
Coaches cannot watch every kart through every corner. Drivers and parents are left to connect fragmented observations after the session.
Kimb'y is being developed to connect footage, position and track context in one reviewable record.
Kimb'y combines onboard video with mapped track geometry to estimate a kart's position without GPS. The prototype reconstructs the driven trajectory and supports several views of the run.

In development
A pilot-ready application, broader track coverage, repeatable processing and useful workflows for coaches and venues.
Research direction
Confidence-gated coaching and live feedback are development goals. They are not currently presented as commercial features.
The development path follows the information a driver or coach needs, while keeping experimental coaching separate from proven positioning.
Record an onboard view of the session with a compatible camera setup.
Relate visual features in the footage to mapped track geometry.
Build the driven trajectory for review from track and driver perspectives.
Research safe, confidence-gated feedback with coach oversight.

Pilot partners
We are preparing controlled pilot work with UK karting venues, coaches and drivers.
Kimb'y Racing is looking for pilot venues, experienced coaches and partners who understand grassroots motorsport.
